Lucknow: Reena Singh, wife of corporate icon Mukesh Bahadur Singh, has steadily carved a distinctive identity as a business leader, social influencer, and committed changemaker in Lucknow. With an ability to seamlessly blend corporate strategy and social purpose, her journey reflects what she herself describes as “a life where professional success must walk hand in hand with responsibility towards society.”
At the forefront of her professional engagements is her role as Chairperson of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), Lucknow. Through this platform, Reena has emerged as a key catalyst for trade, investment, and cross-border collaboration. Under her leadership, IACC Lucknow has evolved beyond a networking body into an active facilitator of opportunity. “My effort has always been to convert conversations into concrete outcomes,” she says, explaining her approach to chamber activities.

Her role has included facilitating international business delegations, notably a Mauritius business group that explored trade and investment avenues in Uttar Pradesh. These initiatives were undertaken in collaboration with reputed industry bodies such as ASSOCHAM and Laghu Udyog Bharati, reinforcing Lucknow’s growing relevance on the global business map. Reena believes such engagement is vital for regional growth, noting, “Uttar Pradesh has immense potential—our task is to build credible bridges between global investors and local enterprises.”
Under her stewardship, IACC Lucknow has also hosted high-impact conferences, including “Breaking Barriers – Women in Leadership and Entrepreneurship.” These platforms have amplified women’s voices in business and governance, with Governor Anandiben Patel emphasizing support for women “go-getters.” Reena says such conversations matter deeply to her: “Women don’t need sympathy; they need opportunity, mentorship, and belief in their capabilities.”
Parallel to her chamber responsibilities, Reena Singh is the Managing Partner of BlueBrett Consultants India LLP, a strategic consulting firm focused on policy advocacy and development-oriented advisory services. She is also associated with A & A Universal Strategic Consultants Private Limited and other ventures, often working alongside her husband. Through these platforms, her focus has been on bridging the gap between government and the public, strengthening MSMEs, and supporting job creation. “Policy must translate into prosperity on the ground,” she asserts. “Only then does governance become meaningful.”
Her social commitment, however, predates her corporate success. Trained as a fashion designer, Reena’s inclination towards service was shaped in childhood by watching her father, a top-ranking police officer, quietly serve society. “He never spoke about his good work,” she recalls. “That silence taught me that service does not need applause.” A defining moment came when she realized the plight of people, especially women, battling harsh winters under open skies. That realization led her to begin modestly—by gifting 100 sarees to underprivileged women to restore dignity and warmth.

Along with her husband, Mukesh Bahadur Singh—Chair UP committee , Indo American Chamber of Commerce—she helped establish the Baisvara Vikas Samiti, an NGO that has organized sports tournaments, health camps, and cultural programmes. Renowned personalities such as Kumar Vishwas and Malini Awasthi have graced these events. Reena emphasizes, “Healthy competition and cultural engagement are as important as economic growth in shaping confident communities.”
Agriculture, women empowerment, MSME development, and youth outreach remain central to her work. Initiatives like the Unnat Beej awareness programme have strengthened farmer connect at the grassroots. With her background in fashion designing, she has also supported training and mentoring young girls, collaborating with institutions like NIFT Rae Bareli. “Skill is empowerment,” she says. “Once a girl is skilled, she finds her own voice.”
Her multifaceted journey has earned her several accolades, including recognition as a “Successful Leader,” “Inspiring Entrepreneur,” and “Contributor to Society,” presented by leaders such as former Union Minister Smriti Irani, Mallika Nadda, and Dr. Mridula Pradhan. Yet, Reena remains grounded, maintaining a balanced personal life and acknowledging the support of her parents, children, and in-laws. Of her husband, she says warmly, “He is not just my guide, but my closest friend.”
With speculation around her possible entry into politics, Reena remains cautious and purpose-driven. “If I step into public life, it will be to touch lives, not to command power,” she says. Her vision centers on empowerment through awareness—educating people about their rights, laws, and opportunities. “Real service,” she concludes, “is not making people dependent, but enabling them to stand independently.”
For Reena Singh, true strength lies beyond appearances. “A real woman,” she reflects, “is one who can take her own decisions, rise above despair, and walk forward with her head held high.”
